Trevor's come a long way in the past few weeks. He's finally saying Momma on a regular basis now, and even Daddy too! He says outside, mine, look, and the cutest is please. He gets very excited about seeing 18-wheelers on the road. He still did not like the beach, but Jack sure does.

The second picture is of Trevor and Spunky taking a nap. I was stuck in the middle of them! Then we have Brooklyn (I believe) with Dumo (Jack's buddy). She didn't know what to think of that. Then one of Trevor is Spunky's new play area, that they enjoyed more at first than the cat (see video...they also liked the mouse toy almost more than Spunky). Then Jack digging for gems, Trevor at the beach, celebrating 2009 (...WHAT?), Trevor in Dad's flipflops, and Jack feeding one of the girls (I knew which one then, but now I'm not sure!).
Trevor and Jack are both in daycare full time now since Conor started his new job last week! Jack likes it alot. He was getting pretty bored at home. Friday I picked up Trevor, told him to say bye and he went back in the room and gave one of his friends a high five and walked right back out. It was so cute. Then he picked up his blanket and pillow and carried them outside. We went to the beach again this weekend and I got him to play in the sand for a little bit. We even sat in the water after a little bit of fussing. Jack and Jeremy had a blast on the float and few waves there were. Trevor is now saying "please" and "yes" sometimes, although yes to him is "uh-uh" which really sounds like no. I had him putting his hands together like he was begging a few times. Instead of "open" he says something like "gunk."

Spunky ~ The Kitten
Yes we got a kitten on Thursday. The look on Jack's face when we asked him if he wanted one was priceless! He even agreed to clean the litter box, although that hasn't happened yet. Jack said he already had a name for him - Spunky. Not sure where that came from AT ALL, but after meeting him, it definitely fits. He has already scratched up Trevor's face, but what do you expect when Trevor gets up in his face. We need to trim his claws....soon.
After putting the flea medicine on him today, we couldn't touch him after being at the beach all day. Jack was in there talking to him saying, "I can't pet you Spunky. But I would if I could."
Speaking of the beach, Trevor absolutely hated it, while Jack wouldn't come out of the water according to Jessica, who went to the beach while Dusty and I watched the girls. Little did I know he took the calm one outside and I was left with the fussy baby and the other fussy baby, Trevor. After Trevor stopped his ear piercing screams, Brylee (I think) fell asleep on me while Trevor pulled at my pant's leg.
Then to dinner for Jeremy's birthday. It went much better than I thought it would with three small children. Trevor was happy and walking around giving my mom hugs and rolling the crayons across the table. We came home to an extremely hyper kitten and a pop up tent in the living room. The video shows what happened next.
Jack's birthday party yesterday was a success! It was a scientist party so we did several experiments. Some didn't turn out as well as planned, but the kids still loved it. Based on my past experience with making cakes at the last minute, I was a bit nervous about this one. But it turned out just as planned, except I was so rushed that I forgot to put the markings on the beaker. Jessica brought the girls, so the grandmas got to entertain them!

This is a video of Trevor dancing of course to "Don't Stop Believing." (Jack's all time favorite song) He does it quite a bit lately (both Trevor dancing and Jack listening to the song). He has also started blowing kisses and waving more. He let my cousin Ashley and my boss hold him this past week! This is not normal for him, but it's a good thing for sure! We took a trip to the lake this weekend and Jack did two cannonballs off the boat. Trevor was not a big fan of the lake, so we didn't even get on the boat with him. He loves the water, but I think it was a bit cold for him. I think Jack would have a blast floating down the river, so we're trying to plan a trip in July to do that. Trevor is still being a big bully at home and sleeping worse than ever. We had to leave the lake at 6:30 am because he was screaming his head off several times (sorry guys if he woke you up). After a stop at HEB to get milk, he was a little better. He was playing with my phone at one point, and when I asked for it back, he dug down in his seat for it and handed it to me. It's amazing how much he knows compared to what he says. He's been following directions very well. But he got up at 5 today and proceeded to scream until 5:40, at which point I only had about 30 minutes to sleep. Needless to say, I reset the alarm and rushed to get ready today. My sister's babies aren't doing much better at sleeping this week. I'm afraid Trevor taught them some bad habits. I feel sorry for Jess and Dusty in about 8 months. Sorry, and good luck! Maybe by then, Trevor would have gotten better and I can help them out more. Now every time I go over to Jessica's house, I chase Trevor around and try to keep him from screaming and waking up the babies.
I realized I learn something new almost everyday. It's not just a saying. The other day I learned what the word depilatories meant thanks to Mary. Today I learned how much patience I have. I think anyone who has a 10 year old laugh in their face while they say, "No, I don't want to and don't have to," and who doesn't do anything inappropriate here would have the patience of a saint. Apparently I do. Thankfully, I only have ONE AND A HALF days of it left, and I can rest assured Jack will NEVER be that kid. I also learned today that Trevor can climb up in my rolling office chair and that he loves Oreos like his mom (neither a very good thing).
And I'm a little upset after a series of events that have taken place in my front yard. First, it included a pile of dirt covering half of the front yard due to a pipe of some sort being dug up by the sidewalk. This impeded our attempts at driving the Power Wheels in our normal loop around the street. The grass was already high, but I thought I'd look pretty stupid mowing a small section of grass around a huge pile of dirt. So I didn't mow. Then they put the dirt back after at least a week (imagine now how high the grass is now, really just weeds) and I realize the sidewalk has been torn up too. After a few days, they put new grass down. I was too busy to mow or water the grass, so the weeds grew and the good grass died - a pretty sorry looking yard. Then I get a letter saying I need to mow ASAP! OOPS! So we did. And THEN....four days later, after my new, dead grass is finally starting to turn green and the weeds are already growing back, they go and dig up some grass to get to pour a the new sidewalk!!!!!! You would think they would put the new grass after the new sidewalk, but NO! We'll see if they get it fixed right this time!
Trevor had a blast after running around the trampoline with Jack. Maybe if I don't lock myself out of the house next time we go back there, I'd have a camera to record it.
Lastly, I have to mention the words of a 7 year old....
We were at a garage sale two weekends ago where I found a Top Gun Soundtrack on record. When I went to pay for it, Jack asked why I was so excited about it. I told him it was Suzy's favorite soundtrack/movie. He said, "But Suzy passed away, and she's in Heaven now." All I could say was, "Yes, Jack, I know."

new words
Everyday when I pick Trevor up at daycare, the teacher, who he loves, tells me something positive, never, ever negative, that he has done. I LOVE THAT! So today, she trys to get him to say his new word, yellow, but he was too excited to see me. So after being home for a while, I get the camera out and try to get him to say it. He happened to be wearing a yellow shirt today so it worked out well seeing that the word of the week at school is yellow.
He said it and when he watched it on the camera, he would do it again.
He has also started trying to do "raspberries" with his mouth, not tongue yet. He learned last week to blow kisses.

New and exciting
Monday, May 2, 2011
Trevor is waving a little more. Yesterday after visiting with the twins, we got in the driveway and he waved and said bye-bye twice. Of course, when I want him to say it, he never does. He's getting better about not screaming every time we come inside, but when he does scream, it's ear-piercing. His other favorite thing to say is uh-oh. He has started clapping along to songs, on tv and in the car. He also dances and swings his arms during songs on tv. While in the bathtub, he has started swinging his arms back and forth very quickly. He loves to splash around, which is the complete opposite of how Jack was. Jack didn't get to visit much with the babies because the night before he and his friend stayed up until midnight. So he decided it was time to nap on the way to Jessica's and couldn't wake up after that.
Trevor had strep throat last week. Two weeks before that he had a double ear infection and upper respiratory infection. The doctor said the one good thing is that his immune system will be super good when he gets older. He loves daycare and is doing so well there that I hate to take him out. We'll see how the next month goes. Hopefully during summertime, the illnesses will lessen. Easter didn't go so well. I was sick the entire four day weekend. Needless to say, the Easter bunny made a late apppearance, but left lots of goodies to make up for it.
